A Special King of the Hill - Blood Run

In addition to the HUGE amount of QuakeLive league and ladder coverage heading your way, we've got a special King of the Hill event in the works starting at 9pm EDT, this Wednesday

To celebrate the release of the famed duel map, Blood Run by "ztn", QuakeLive.TV will be hosting an exhibition Wednesday, June 10  at 9:30pm EDT between two top duelers in the community.  This exhibition match will take place in the middle of the KotH tournament, which means the "current king" gets to test their mettle against the exhibition winner.

From then on, we have an all-star lineup of duelers ready to try to take down the reigning King.  There's one more catch:  We'd like to really feature the impressiveness that is Blood Run, as it has earned its place as one of the best dueling maps in Quake history for a reason, and ask that matches be played on the new map until the current King has been undefeated two times, at which point, the challenger can request a different map.  If the King is toppled, we head back to Blood Run.

Be sure to catch all of our amazing coverage coming up... Three Nights of QuakeLive brought to you by QuakeLive.TV.  Come n' get it!

They'll be up eventually. It will take some time since it lasted 3 hours and something like 300 gigabytes of raw AVI. If you don't mind watching the low res ustream recording check out our ustream page.

Are some of these matches going to be uploaded? Either as streams or demos would be great.

I'm afraid that won't help much, Rejinx. The backup stream is there in case there's a technical issue with UStream, allowing us to swap over to it without having to publicize different URLs for the different live stream. We don't broadcast simultaneously on them. I don't have that kinda bandwidth. :)
