I had a chance to sit down with Ivo "forever" Lindhout from third/fourth place finishers team bubbels regarding their performance in the Fnatic.Play event:

First off can you just tell the readers just a little about yourself and your team

<forever> I am Ivo Lindhout, 21 years old and I am from The Netherlands

<forever> The team we played with is a mix of players from Reason gaming and myself from clan LLL

<forever> oh, and 1 from LKFF and 1 from Broken

<forever> :D

<forever> just all dutchies

You guys placed 3/4, did you expect to place higher?

<forever> Yeah, we of course wanted to win of course. Otherwise it wouldn't make sense playing the tournament.

<forever> None the less. I play about 1/2 hours QuakeLive a week max.

<forever> The semi-final was close, not good enough from our side, too bad. could have gone either way.

How did you guys prepair for the tournament?

<forever> We didn't. It was the 3rd time I played a CA map when I started this tournament :p

Do you think that all your duel experience helped you in quite a few of those amazing 1v2 and 1v1 rounds?

<forever> Yeah, ofcourse. aim aim aim :-)

Can we expect to see more of bubbels in future Clan Arena events?

<forever> Don't think so. I normally play for LLL so it is hard to say.

So bubbles was more of a one time compilation of players, just for this event?

<forever> It is basically team NL tdm plus 2 extra players. Correct.

You said this was your third time playing a Clan Arena map, how did you like Clan Arena and how did you feel about the mod in relation to other mods?

<forever> I rather play duel or tdm.

Why would you say that is?

<forever> Duel / tdm is more tactical. CA is brainless aiming

<forever> CA = regroup and aim brainless.

What would you say was your favorite match from today and why?

<forever> good question. Had a lot of fun the first map vs druidz or something.

What made that match stand out from the rest?

<forever> They whine, "dm14 is no CA map."

<forever> Read the rules, don't like them? Don't play.

I would say that personally your match against weird, mainly dm6 was one of the best matches to watch from today, would you say that all of your duel experience on dm6 made that what it was?

<forever> Yeah, that was a good game. Too bad I didn't hit anything the last 5 rounds.

What words of advice would you have for new players to Clan Arena?

<forever> Play tdm or duel. Much more fun.

Would you say that playing tdm/duel will help them build skill quicker in Clan Arena?

<forever> You learn to thing when playing tdm/duel. yellow armor/red armor/mega health/weapons that spawn. In CA you already have all the weapons, all you need to do then is aim.

<forever> Yeah, if I get time off work and there are QL tdm/duel events coming up I will definitely be there. Thanks fnatic and Bestpoker for this event
